Slavo's Leftover Turkey & Dumplings
This is an easy and delicious way to use up your leftover turkey and veggies from your Thanksgiving dinners.
Ingredients
1 lb leftover turkey meat cut into 1” chunks
2 quarts chicken stock
1 yellow onion small diced
1/3 cup carrots small diced
1/4 cup green onions small diced (optional)
1 can biscuits
Leftover turkey gravy
Butter
Slavo Salt
Preparation:
- In a large soup pot over medium heat sautee the butter, onions and carrots until carrots become tender
- Add chicken stock and bring to boil
- Cut biscuits into quarters or sixths
- Drop biscuits into boiling stock and cook until they begin to sink
- Stir in leftover turkey gravy as this will help thicken
- Drop in turkey meat and simmer until meat is heated through (no need to boil as that will make the meat stringy)
- Season with Slavo Salt to taste
